The founders of Restharrow Literary are early-career artists and writers. We know personally how defeating taking a chance on a publication and getting a rejection letter out of the blue six months later can feel. We also personally know the joy of publishing and being published for the first time. While other magazines may view an empty resume as a reason to turn a writer away, we hope that as our organization develops, many writers will be able to call Restharrow Literary home to their first-ever publication. If you’re on the fence about submitting for the first-time, go for it—you’re among friends here.
We offer publication in our standard bi-yearly issue as well as year-round on our blog! Our standard issues are released in October and April and accept prose, poetry, and multimedia.
Our blog accepts essays of all kinds! If you’re passionate about your subject, chances are we’ll be interested too. So send us your latest film review, a personal essay, or an essay about that niche thing no one else cares about, but you can’t stop talking about.
